Technical Product Manager, Data Engineering
Abett is hiring a Technical Product Manager, with a focus on data engineering, to help build delivery and reporting tools for our customers and data partners.
THE ROLE
Abett produces the Lockbox, a "software-as-a-service" for benefits, HR, and finance staff. We are an early-stage company, but already our customers include multiple Fortune 100 firms, and over a dozen Fortune 500 firms in total.
Abett is hiring a Technical Product Manager to help build delivery and reporting tools for our customers and data partners. Our objective is to provide the industry’s most accessible tools, such that data delivery and reporting are easy, accurate, fast, and secure.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will:
Master both Abett's technical infrastructure and our data partners’ needs.
In partnership with Engineering and Data Partner Services, design and deliver scalable delivery and reporting solutions.
Ensure the platform's functions are secure and result in reliable data integrations.
Develop a delivery and reporting roadmap that is aligned with Abett’s business objectives.
Prioritize and process feature requests across an expanding number of platform users.
Own the delivery and reporting tools within Abett’s platform and ultimate responsibility for their success and adoption.
Compensation includes equity options. Abett is based in Seattle, Washington, but we are a fully distributed (remote) organization. Therefore, you can work from anywhere.
ABETT'S BUSINESS
In the US, employers are key consumers of healthcare. Employers agree to contracts that dictate what care is available, and how much it costs.
However, employers have historically been passive consumers of healthcare. Abett helps employers become fierce consumers, which will lead to better care and lower costs.
Our product is highly disruptive because it puts employers in control. We have ambitious objectives for how this change will impact the industry. Prominent employers share our vision, which explains why they have partnered with us.
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
An ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and characteristics:
Experience with technical product management, and at least 2 years of engineering experience.
Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and the technical solutions to achieve them.
Empathy for the end-user, and a passion for lifelong learning and adaptation.
In addition, the following experience is of great interest to us:
AWS cloud services (S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, IAM) or other equivalent cloud service.
Solid understanding of data engineering principles, SQL, and concepts of relational databases (both design and query).
Creating technical documentation and diagrams. Communicating technical requirements as clearly as possible.
You can apply for this role via Gusto. Thank you and best regards.
